Loved it
Loved the new route, very scenic and great atmosphere.
Could maybe do with extra toilets for ladies at the start as queues were long.
Thank you for your comments. We will be improving the toilets for next years race.

Great course but needs better planning
Shocking toilet facilities.
After an amazing route which i enjoyed, then getting the final results and finding out my gun time was the same as my chip time i wasn't impressed. Many more of my run club had the same problem. We used this event as one of our grand prix events I can say it has left a sour tase in our mouths.
Toilets will be totally upgraded for 2027

A new undulating course with great atmosphere and support.
I'm glad I used the loos early on and then did my warm up. Very busy pre race in hall. More toilets needed.
Julie Hawkins
Good atmosphere
The parking was challenging and long queues and I know many attendees found the parking difficult. This would be an area to improve for 2027.
Thank you to the event organisers and volunteers.
Parking will be greatly improved for 2027

A good race, much better organised than last year - a few points to improve
Points that could be improved:
1. A very long wait at the start line. If it had been colder then would have been even more problematic
2. I had a runner at the same pace as me for a long period with a loud speaker with music. You are clear on types of headphones allowed, but is speakers something permitted as personally it has a negative impact on my experience (whilst I appreciate others may like it) - but as a runner at the same pace I cannot choose whether to listen to it or not. Please can you make clear in instructions next year if allowed or not
We will be banning any runners with loudspeakers for 2027

Loved the new route

A great start to the race season

Interesting new route with something for everyone. The first half on tarmac with trails and paths on the way home. Plenty of hills and false flats to keep things interesting, but an honest race that provides the opportunity for a good time
I think the car park got a bit overwhelmed, not helped by automated barriers that stopped every car on entry
Parking will be upgraded for 2027. The university had forgotten to keep the barrier in the up position

Better organisation than 2025
Several fellow runners were blaring loud music while they ran. I found this very upsetting as I react differently to some people to loud sound.
I did not feel safe raising it directly as one person was complaining they had already been asked to turn the music down and they were calling that person a killjoy.
It also was at odds to the woodlands and fields around us. If this is ok with the race organisers, please let me know. If not, please make others aware in the future.
I started at 100 minutes and we waited for about 15-20 mins having been hounded outside. I understand a long race briefing was given during this period but no one around me heard it.
The buildings and hall were better organised than last year at CCCU. Thank you.
It was our first year at the new venue and we had a few teething troubles. The wait for the start will be shorter next year. Also, we will be improving the speaker system for the briefing and banning runners that bring loudspeakers with them.

Fun race and well organised
Ladies toilet signage required!
Toilets will be greatly improved for 2027

Fast, pb-potential, undulating

Very good new venue, great facilities except amount of toilets, which is usual at big races.
Only beef was waiting good 5 minutes for race to start with loudspeaker system blaring but runners have absolutely no chance of hearing unless very near the front! So pretty pointless.
We had a problem with at least one runner with a sound system. These will be banned or 2027.

Great race - needs portaloos
This is my favourite race of the year, well done on another fantastic edition. If you have any spare budget, I would hugely encourage you to use it on as many portaloos as you can get. The facilities at the moment are not adequate, which results in a rush to the start and dampens the atmosphere because people end up disappointed at the ques.
It was our first year in a new venue and despite plenty of toilets they are too spread out. There will be a bank of portaloos for 2027

A much safer course and amazing encouraging Marshalls
Dean Gonsalves
The event was incredible, with exceptional support from the staff at the University of Kent.
I really enjoyed the event—the atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see so many people engaged. There were, however, a few areas where the experience could be enhanced for future events. Greater use of nearby car parks, such as Darwin Car Park and Parkwood, supported by additional marshals, would have helped with parking and access. If the event route or layout had extended toward the Turing area, the views would have been incredible and it is only a short walk from the sports centre.
It would also have been beneficial if the gym staff could have hosted a warm up at the start. Music would have added to the overall atmosphere. Additionally, I heard at the event who are interested in using the venue for external events, so it was disappointing that there were not more conference or venue staff present on the day. Overall, a great event with strong potential to be even better with a few adjustments.
Thank you for your comments. A few teething issues, but improvements will be made for 2027 especially to parking and toilets.

Exxellent organisation
Great Marshall’s and plenty of them. Course was tough but enjoyable and made you think about both uphill and downhill sections. Very good with no traffic. Thank you
Paul Hollands
Fantastic new course and well organised as always

Great course with similar feels to the old course
I really loved the new course and overall I would really recommend the event. However, there are a couple of things that I believe could be improved. Firstly, the parking situation was a bit of a nightmare. I appreciate there was limited parking but I queued for 30 minutes from the start of Giles Lane to the car park and only just made it in time for the race. It would have been better if marshals could have directed people to available spaces rather than it being a free for all once through the barriers. The new course was great and provided a similar level of challenge to the old course, however I wasn’t the biggest fan of the mini out and back and hairpin turn on the last mile. If there was a way to redirect the course to avoid this it would improve the race
Thank you for your comments. We will be improving the car parking for 2027 and we are looking to lose the mini out and back in the last mile.

theee best organised race I've ever done ! An exceptional event (despite the hills!)

Great new route
Thank you for amazing day
