Very well organised and so much fun!

Great race, challenging course in places, but really enjoyed the event
Great parking and venue, the only thing is there needed to be more toilets, a block or 2 of porta-loos would have helped, otherwise a great event, thanks
Thank you for your comments. We will be bringing in portaloos for 2027.
Austin Adams
Good value for money because you get another 10 minutes to take in the scenery than normal
The new route was similar in terms of difficulty to the old course. However, it was much better in terms of not having to cross roads with traffic. Probably not a course for someone who hasn't done a 10-miler before. I prefer a harder course - it makes you work a bit harder. The facilities at the new course are much better too. I will definitely be back next year. Thank you.

Great race but beautiful scenery

New route = New funsies
Great new route and fantastic to run through the woods on the Crab & Winkle way. Much better than the old route. Needed marshalls directing vehicles to the many empty car parks on campus though. Other than that, absolutely brilliant.
Lucy Wiggins
Loved the new route - running on empty roads was bliss
More toilets definitely needed.
Thank you for your comments. We will be bringing in portaloos for 2027 and better signing the toilets.

Lovely Race
Great race and atmosphere, little bit rushed at the start due to parking issues and long queues for toilets, but these are small issues that im sure will be ironed out. Overall a great event and very well supported, thanks to all volunteers

A beautiful route on country roads and trails
I’m really pleased I entered. I’m from the North and don’t know the area but the scenery was lovely. I did another event the day before so this one was leisurely on tired legs but it was an ideal route to enjoy slowly and take in the surroundings. This is a must do race.
Barry Smith
Taxing but enjoyable.
Personally I enjoyed the hills which made me work.
Andy Willmott
Excellent new route, plenty of hills and undulations, plus runner friendly roads and paths.
Liam Cambridge
Amazing event will 100% do again!
Really enjoyed the event the route was great completely traffic free. Lots of marshals cheering you on. Nice to see locals also out cheering on the runners.
One critic was the parking organisation at the Giles lane car park could improve. There was plenty of people guiding you into the car park but managed of when it was full was not great. Rather than multiple people at the entrance it needed some people further in to stop cars coming in once it’s full. I would say this contributed to the start time being slightly delayed.
Thank you for your comments. Parking will be improved for 2027.

Pretty and undulating
Car park needed people in the car park to guide cars to spaces. Toilet management could be better through providing portaloos and urinals in addition to those in the buildings. Other than that, a great challenging course, thank you!
Thank you for your comments. Toilets and parking will both be improved for 2027.

Outstanding
Great organisation, loved the Race HQ indoor preparation and complimentary post race massage. Challenging course but worth it.

Canterbury 10 Mile Race on its new route
I've run the race on the old route several times and loved it and the organisation.
Today, traffic was a nightmare with multiple roads gridlocked trying to get to the race parking, it felt a bit unorganised around the start area with no visible marshals/volunteers that I could see to answer runner queries, the start "pens" were really cramped and congested.
It was nice being able to collect my number yesterday, as I deel I'd have missed the start if I needed to collect today.
I'm going to give the Canterbury 10 Mile another go next year on the new route and hopefully the teething issues from today will be sorted, if not, I'll give it a pass in future years.
Thank you for identifying some teething troubles. We will be improving the parking and toilets for 2027. The start will also be moved and other issues addressed.

Just brilliant. Not many 10 mile events so thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Brilliant event. So well organised. Marshals very attentive. Local residents friendly and supportive of runners.
Will certainly apply again for 2027.

Those Hills just kept coming
Great event, new route was tougher but enjoyable and challenging, bag drop and number collection was perfect, plenty of toilets. Parking needs a tweaking as the queue was long.
Adam Corke
Bloody brilliant. Superb organisation. Well done Glenn & team
Good idea to have an option to collect the race packs the day before.
Chris Brett
Undulating 10 miler course with lovely views
The atmosphere was incredible and well positioned Marshall’s and support along the course which is easy to navigate and for majority is road running but a bit on footpaths which could be stipulated in the description next time. My only other concern was the parking arrangements need to be addressed as due to the volume wasn’t sufficient parking to cater for the event which left limited time to pick up race pack. My other suggestion would be to utilise a wave formation in staggered starts than an all at once start even if split by time as you give more space for starting out naturally. Other than that was a lovely course and considering it was first time on a new course teething issues were bound to occur.

Loved it!

Good route overall I personally prefer this to the previous route,
Good to warm up before the hills .. good idea to route around university first to get breathing and legs warmed up.
